Now in their 18th year together, they have been featured on numerous concert series, including Concerts at Trinity Wall Street, Columbia University, The Ticonderoga Festival Guild, Saugerties Pro Musica, and Grace Memorial Chapel; they have appeared live on the Morning Show on WAMC Public Radio. Prometheus Brass maintains an active schedule of public outreach concerts and educational presentations in a wide variety of locations throughout the tri-state area.
Grace Chapel was founded in 1884 as a summer chapel to serve the residents and guests of the area now known as Silver Bay and Sabbath Day Point. It was designed by William B. Tuthill, the architect for Carnegie Hall in New York, who donated his architectural services to the creation of this chapel. The Chapel was pre-cut, with all the timbers for the framing, roof, flooring, beams, brackets and millwork brought in from New York, then delivered by train and boat to Sabbath Day Point, where the Chapel was constructed by workmen from Ticonderoga. The Chapel has been placed on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places because of its beauty, its age and the fact that it represented an early work of William B. Tuthill.
Please call for more information.
